Right Around the Corner!

Hi Everybody!

The big day is quickly coming and I feel that I have barely had a moment to breath…let alone post!

Things have been a wee-bit busy for Andrew and I. My last day with my company will be on July 11, 2008 and in the meantime I am training a new employee for the role, while documenting and writing standard operating procedures for the Overseas Program Manager role I held with the company. Andrew is still working diligently as always! We have also been packing little by little for our trek out west. Our living room is starting to fill with boxes of books, glasses, dishes and plates. They will soon be piled to the ceiling!

We were fortunate enough to see my middle sister, Kiersten, graduate form high school this past Saturday. It was a great ceremony and we are very proud of her! She has had a fantastic high school career both academically and athletically. LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY is lucky to be getting her next year! Congratulations Kiers!

Wedding plans are still moving forward as we round the corner with 23 days to go. We are meeting the florist and photographer this weekend, which should be a fun time. I know that between all of us, we can come up with something great and beautiful. Andrew and I are both getting more and more excited as the day approaches!

I hope that everyone is doing well and we are looking forward to seeing you all very soon!!!

On the Road Again....

Hi All!

Just a quick hello! I hope that you all are doing well! The weather here has been crazy- hail storms and thunderstorms all week long. More clouds are rolling in as I sit here typing this post. Our poor car got catch in a hail storm on Monday, it is not a pretty sight-but thankfully it is still drivable.

As many of you know and for those of you who don’t…After the wedding Andrew and I will be heading west to Spokane, Washington to plant new roots. After much thought and consideration we finally decided to try something new and something old. Born and bred in upstate New York, this will be a completely new experience for me, while Andrew is returning to his old stomping ground. Although he has not resided there long-term in the last 5 years, it is a familiar place to get our feet wet. We are currently in the job search, looking for opportunities in our respective fields. I am hoping to return to school to study law within the next 2-3 years depending on our situation. We are fortunate that the Pacific Northwest offers some great law school opportunities. For those East Coast family and friends-please do not fret! We will be back to visit as a majority of my family and our friends are still in the area!!!

Well that is all for now. I hope that you are all having a wonderful day!

State Champions!

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity West Genesee Wildcats for a spectacular New York State Championship win!!! The girls have gone 2 years undefeated winning both the 2007 and 2008 State Championships. Kiersten and Karlyn both played great games to beat the Farmingdale “Daaaalers” from Long Island. Nice job girls!

Not long to go!!!

Just a quick hello to all!

Andrew and I are getting excited as the big day approaches! Things are coming along nicely as we put the finishing touches on everything. My mom threw a stellar Bridal Shower for me this past Sunday- I could not have asked for more! Thank you to all who were able to join us and for making it a great day! I am sorry for those of you who were unable to make it, you were missed. A big thank you to Mary Ann for planning the wonderful games! The advice from all will be cherished! You all made it a day to remember!!!

We have our now annual fishing trip to Langara in early August. We are looking forward to catching some more tasty salmon and halibut! And things will not slow down from there! Kay and Jerry have been kind enough to throw us a west coast reception in September in celebration of our marriage. As the date draws nearer we will post the registry information for everyone too! You can find our current registry information on our wedding website though.

Well that is all for now, have a splendid day!

Wedding

Hello to all and welcome to Kendall and Andrew's Wedding Blog!

Everything starts with a story….and here’s ours! In the summer of 2005 we met at the most romantic place on earth…Cornell Fitness Center in Helen Newman gym. Ha! Andrew had recently returned to Ithaca after inadvertently harvesting a deer, with his car, outside of Rochester, New York. I on the other hand had voluntarily stayed in Ithaca for the summer working for Cornell Fitness Centers. I was working my first shift ever, a very long 6 hours of standing, when Andrew walked in. He had returned to Ithaca to start his new student coordinator position at the gym a few months earlier than expected. We quickly bonded over Out Cold (for those of you who are not familiar with this, it is snowboarding movie- need I say more?!?!?!) quotes and soon became friends.
We got engaged on March 20, 2008 on a wooden foot bridge behind the Engineering quad on Cornell campus-a beautiful spot! Andrew even got down on one knee to propose! After saying "absolutely" and making sure the ring did not fall into the gushing water feet below us in the gorge, wedding planning came into full swing.
We are now less than 40 days away from the main event! Things are coming along nicely and it has been a whirlwind of activity. After the big day we will be packing up and moving ourselves back to Andrew's stomping grounds- Spokane, Washington. Being an East Coast girl all of my life I am looking forward to seeing the country and experiencing new things!
So now, I welcome everyone to please share in our excitement, stress, and joy as we come closer to our wedding, our move to Washington (from New York) and a whole new chapter in our lives!
